‘Wake up Sid’ - a coming of age movie

The enthusiasm of Ayan Mukherji impressed Karan Johar. Ayan, who had assisted KJo in 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna', won the ace filmmaker’s confident when he narrated the story of ‘Wake up Sid’.

The movie is expected to go well with young junta, for its protagonist portrays a typical urban youngster who is carefree and not willing to grow up. Ranbir Kapoor had stated that it is a cool film about waking up to life, family, love and career.

Ranbir plays the character of Sid whose world is breezy, carefree and without any true responsibilities. Konkona Sen does the role of Ayesha, an ambitious writer and quite contrasting to Sid. She is the catalyst in Sid's life and propels him forward which changes his life, revealed the actress.

‘Wake up Sid’ is bannered under Dharma Productions, produced by Hiroo Yash Johar and Karan Johar. This will be a directorial debut of Ayan Mukherji. Besides Ranbir-Konkona, the movie stars Anupam Kher, Supriya Pathak, Rahul Khanna, Namit Das and Shikha Talsania.
